I recently stayed at the Conifer Grand Hotel, and while the location in the Old Quarter is fantastic, I faced several disappointments. The service was polite, but the housekeeping was inconsistent, as they often forgot to restock items in my room. Additionally, the breakfast left much to be desired, with limited options. Overall, it was a mixed experience—great location but lacking in many other areas.

Rooms
5.0
The room was incredibly small and dark, almost like a box, with little natural light. I felt quite claustrophobic, especially since the window opened to a brick wall. The amenities were basic, lacking proper hooks for wet towels and sufficient space for luggage.
Service
5.0
The staff were generally polite and accommodating. However, I did find it challenging to communicate on certain occasions. and there were missed opportunities for better service, like not addressing housekeeping oversights promptly.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was definitely a highlight, just behind St. Joseph Cathedral and close to the lake. It allowed me to immerse myself in street life, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. However, taxis couldn't reach the hotel directly, which could be inconvenient.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast options were quite limited and the coffee experience was underwhelming. I expected more variety, especially for a four-star hotel. The dining area was informal and lacked a true dining atmosphere.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were basic and didn't meet my expectations. There was no bar or restaurant besides breakfast service, and the gym replaced the rooftop bar. The overall amenities felt underdeveloped for a hotel of this rating.

5.8/10

My experience at Conifer Grand Hotel was mixed. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the Old Quarter, making it convenient to explore. On the downside, the room I had was quite small and lacked proper natural lighting. The service was polite, yet I encountered some issues with the cleanliness and amenities that left me disappointed.

Rooms
5.0
The room was clean, but it felt cramped with barely enough space to move around the bed. I had a window facing a concrete wall, making it feel dark and claustrophobic. Also, the lack of a proper luggage shelf was inconvenient.
Service
5.0
While the staff were generally polite, I found the housekeeping to be inconsistent. Items were often forgotten, and when I raised my concerns about the minibar charge, the response was unsatisfactory.
Location
6.0
The hotel's location is its strongest asset. Nestled in the Old Quarter, it was close to trendy shops and St. Joseph's Cathedral, which I loved exploring. However, accessing it can be tricky due to the alleyway.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was sparse, and there was no proper dining area, just a space beside the reception. I was quite disappointed to find no bar or restaurant, which I hoped for based on their website.
Facilities
5.0
Although I appreciated the cleaner aspect of the room, there was little else in terms of facilities. There was no dining service aside from breakfast, and issues like the broken hairdryer added to my dissatisfaction.

5.8/10

I had a mixed experience at the Conifer Grand Hotel. While the staff was incredibly friendly and the location was prime for exploring Hanoi, my room was quite small and lacked some essential comforts. The cleanliness left something to be desired, and the breakfast options were limited, which was disappointing.

Rooms
5.0
The room was small and felt claustrophobic, with very little space to move around. I struggled with outdated facilities like a broken hairdryer and no place to hang wet towels.
Service
8.0
On the bright side, the staff were super friendly and helpful. They even assisted me in ordering dinner in Vietnamese, which was appreciated!
Location
7.0
The hotel's location was excellent, close to St. Joseph Cathedral and within walking distance to many attractions. However, getting to the hotel was a bit inconvenient since cars can't access it directly.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was a letdown with limited options. It could definitely use more variety, especially in hot dishes.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities seemed average, as I wasn't able to make full use of them. The gym had taken the place of the rooftop bar, which was a bummer.

5.2/10

I had a mix of experiences during my stay at Conifer Grand Hotel. The location was fantastic, close to main attractions and offering a bit of peace amid the chaotic streets of Hanoi. However, the room cleanliness and breakfast quality left much to be desired, which detracted from my overall impression.

Rooms
5.0
I found the room spacious and comfortable, but there were cleanliness issues. The toilet needed attention upon arrival, with some mold and an unpleasant odor. The towels also felt overused, which wasn't what I expected for a hotel of this sort.
Service
6.0
The staff members were friendly and willing to assist, helping with ordering food in Vietnamese. However, my encounter during check-out was frustrating when they insisted I had consumed items from the minibar that I hadn't touched.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was excellent, right in the heart of the old town. It made it easy to explore the city and there were plenty of restaurants nearby. The narrow alleyway provided a sense of calm, away from the busier streets.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was limited, especially considering it was priced at 240K. There weren't many choices available, and items like phở ran out early. I also wished they would have offered an espresso option.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had basic facilities, but additional services could enhance the experience. Room service was available, but I didn't take advantage of it. Having better laundry pricing options would have been nice as well.

6.8/10

I had a pretty mixed experience at the Conifer Grand Hotel. While the location is superb, being close to all the major attractions, the room itself felt quite cramped and dark. The staff was generally friendly and accommodating, but there were a few hiccups during my stay that left me feeling underwhelmed.

Rooms
5.0
The room was small with barely enough space around the bed, and the blackout screens made it feel even more claustrophobic. It lacked natural light and even the view was just a concrete wall. I also faced some cleanliness issues.
Service
6.0
The staff were friendly and helpful, going out of their way to assist me with a few requests, but there were some inconsistencies in service quality.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was a highlight, tucked away in a narrow alley but super close to the Cathedral and plenty of shops, making it easy to explore the area on foot.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was a letdown; while there were some decent options, it felt quite lacking overall, and I didn't even try the dining area much after my first experience.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities seemed limited, with a gym that had been prioritized over the rooftop bar. Simple stuff like having a towel rail or sufficient power outlets was missing.
